Curonian Spit
Here, in the middle of forests and sand dunes, you can see a curved sand-dune spit that separates the Curonian Lagoon from the Baltic Sea coast. Its southern portion lies within Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia, and its northern within southwestern Klaipėda County, Lithuania. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site shared by Lithuania and Russia. Unique natural area.
For the traveler and explorer, the Kaliningrad region has the westernmost point of Russia, the Baltic Spit, and the German heritage of small seaside towns. The atmosphere dips into the tranquility of nature and the smell of steel, the cold sea.

Kola Peninsula
Almost the entire peninsula is located beyond the Arctic Circle and is bordered by the Barents Sea to the north and by the White Sea to the east and southeast.
There is the Arctic festival in Teriberka and the Khibiny Mountains, the ultra-deep well penetrating the earth's crust and apatites. But your dream of seeing the northern lights comes true by buying a ticket to Murmansk.

Altai
Altai is one of the most beautiful places in Russia. First of all, because of the mountains: if you drive along the ridge, you will see slopes strewn with pine trees, mountain rivers and lakes. And if you open the car windows, you can breathe mountain air - the invisible miracle of these places.
The climate in Altai is temperate, so it is best to go here in summer. So you will see all the variety of local flora and fauna. Moose roam the forests of Altai, eagles fly over the ridges, and roe deer graze on the plains. And the famous manuls are also inhabitants of the Altai Territory.

Winter Baikal
Everyone knows Baikal as the largest lake in the world. Many also know that this is the largest source of fresh water and one of the most beautiful places in Russia.
Of course, it's all true. But Baikal is still an ideal place for "Skijoring" competitions. This is a sport where a skier ties himself to a motorcycle and then they try to develop as much speed as possible on the ice. In March 2019, a world record was set at the Baikal Mile festival - 197.011 km/h.

Republic of Karelia
The republic is in the northwestern part of Russia, between the White and Baltic Seas. The White Sea has a shoreline of 630 kilometers. Densely forested and remote, Karelia is a paradise on Earth for any nature lover. Some pines are more than half a millennium old. In the virgin forest for a hundred kilometers, you will not find a path. And on rare paths, trees a couple of meters from the ground are marked with bear claws. Let everyone know who's boss. Be enthralled by the region’s untouched wilderness and diverse wildlife.
